A great upgrade over the previous version.

I owned the previous version and thought it was pretty darn good...then I gave my old one to my brother and bought this new version for myself. Wow, is it ever fast. I used to start my stove then go do a couple of things around camp. Now I literally just sit and watch the water boil. Other than the faster boil time not a lot was changed but I still think it's worth the upgrade.

    Camping/Emergency Kit Necessity!

I got this stove originally for my overnight hiking/bug-out kit but ended up using it on a day hike when I didn't have any food in the house except for some leftover dehydrated food. I was so happy with the ease of use, I've begun taking it on all my hikes (even day hikes). There is nothing like a quick and easy warm meal on the trail in the early spring! Love this piece of gear.

    Heats fast

Recently bought one for camping. Delivered as promised: Boiled fast! But automatic lighter didn't work and the wire handle to turn the volume of fuel kept falling off. Still enjoyed it and camping though!

    Jetboil System

Got the best price I've seen. The item was out of stock but outdoor play was great with communication and got the item to me forthwith once they had it in stock. Thanks for the great customer service.

    Lightweight, compact personal cooking unit

This jet boil is a great piece of gear, it heats up 1/2 liter of water in about 2 minutes. I've used it for Ramen noodles, MREs, and coffee. The plastic lid seems like it will melt if left on while cooking and using a plastic spoon was also a poor decision (consider getting a metal spoon). Overall a great personal cooking unit that's sure to improve morale. Also, make sure you buy a jet fuel container with it (abt 10 bucks) online or at most sporting goods stores. Keep in mind: Military/commercial flights will not let you take these fuel cans on board so your out of luck when it comes to transporting it.
